The Dollhouse Murders

The Dollhouse Murders is a book written by famous author Betty Ren Wright. It consists of the story of teenager, Amy, and her mentally retarded sister, Luann.

Plot

Amy is walking home from the mall with Luann and her new friend. Her friend says that she must cancel the bike trip that they planned a week before. Amy believes she has no reason (which she does) because most of her friends reject her because of Luann's disability. Amy throws a fit when her mother gets home because Amy claims she should not have to babysit Luann every day. Amy runs to her Aunt Claire's house when she gets upset with her mother. When she find her aunt in her deceased great-grandmother's house instead of her own, she finds a dollhouse that is a replica of the house she is in right then. The next day she finds her friend and clears up things with her. When they figure out her grandparents were murdered, the go to the library to look for old newspaper reports on the murder. It is revealed that Aunt Claire's boyfriend was indeed the murderer and that it brings great discomfort to Aunt Claire to talk about it.When Amy and her friend celebrate their birthdays (for they were born on the same day), Amy's mother must drop Luann off at Aunt Claire's house because she must go help a friend in a different state. Erie happenings happen with the dolls in the dollhouse when the murder is revealed to Amy. Amy thinks that her grandmothers ghost is controlling the dolls to move in the places in the house they were murdered in.
